Who could forget the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival with their unbelievable line-up of local and international acts, not to mention the great food, artisans and workshops (John Mayer and Adam Levine of Maroon 5, anyone)? This spring we enjoyed Bayoo Boog’aloo, and over the next few weeks more neighbourhood and city festivals than I can count. This fall looks equally exciting – this city OWNs Halloween! I swear, this city has something going on every weekend (practically every DAY!). In fact, I’ve heard there are over 420 festivals and events to enjoy within only 365 days of the year. If you’re deciding when to come, check out our New Orleans Calendar of Events. Although it isn’t a comprehensive list, since it doesn’t include smaller neighborhood events, it’s a pretty solid calendar overview if you’re thinking about coordinating your city visit with something special going on. I’ve been compiling it from a few reliable sources, but if you notice that I’m missing something, let me know so I can add it.
