Tandem biking with my wife in sunny San Diego around Mission Bay and then stopping at our favorite for place for fish tacos to go. Then a short drive to secluded park in La Jolla to enjoy our tacos overlooking Mission Bay, the San Diego skyline and the border of Mexico.
My smart phone. It’s great for sharp travel photos, videos, GPS, weather app, translator, restaurant searches and of course it’s fun to communicate with people back home to share parts of the experience with them firsthand.
As wonderful as they are, there is more to San Diego than beaches and the zoo. You need a local guide to find out about the hidden places that the local people enjoy going to that are off the beaten path.
A one week cruise through the Greek Islands ending with a two week stay in Israel.
It forces me to see this part of the country through the eyes of my guests. It makes living here an unfolding experience and keeps me from taking for granted everything San Diego has to offer.
