LIZ GARIBAY
EXPERIENCE AMBASSADOR

A vibrant part of Chicago’s cultural scene, Liz Garibay got her start as a spry intern at the Field Museum with an interest in anthropology and archeology. With time, her interests created opportunities for positions at almost every museum in the city where she’s curated exhibitions and public programs while regularly giving lectures at cultural institutions and centers of higher education such as Harvard and MIT. As a renowned pub historian, she specializes in the history and culture of alcohol, and is the founder of the Chicago Brewseum, America’s first museum dedicated to beer.
Fluently trilingual: English, Spanish and Italian.

Ideal Sunday

Spending the day with my girlfriend and her dog. We begin with coffee at home, then take a stroll around North Pond, we then hop on the Red Line up to Argyle for some pho, next up is a card game over some afternoon beers at Kelly’s Pub and we end it all with wine and cooking dinner at home. That or spending the day at Wrigley Field.
