The miniature room in the lower level of the Art Institute
In the summer, North Avenue beach with music from the Castaways bar in the distance, beach volley all around, and the skyline in the background - splashing in the water with my family. The icing on the cake is an aperitif at the Café by the Lincoln Park boardwalk. Or in the winter, the theater to see a matinee show, then ice skating at Millennium Park and burger at a rooftop restaurant overlooking the River walkway.
An itinerary or program I have personally prepared in advance, although I always love to get side-tracked by unexpected discoveries!
